Markerad Carrier Bag Sculpture

The iconic blue Frakta bag from Ikea has been revisited by Vigil Abloh in a normcore way, with the Carrier Bag as part of their Markerad collaboration.

The electric blue has been replaced by a brown paper bag style, on which we can read "SCULPTURE" . Obviously, the inscription is between quotation marks, classic signature of Virgil Abloh. By adding quotation marks to words, Virgil Abloh takes them out of context and ironically challenges those who read them. The plastic-reinforced paper bag is available in two sizes: L58xD37xH37cm and L44xD17xH44cm.

With the reinterpretation of this bag, Virgil Abloh confirms his desire to " open up artistic horizons using anonymous everyday objects " and transforms the classic blue Ikea bag into a super-desirable it-bag. Release date : November 2019
