Nike "On Air" is the brand's annual swoosh competition allowing independent designers around the world to create iconic Nike models in their own style. Artist Yuta Takuman draws inspiration from his hometown to bring this version of the Nike Air Max 1, named Tokyo Maze , to life.
The city of Tokyo is known for its dense population and its metro lines criss-crossing the entire city. Inspired by these visions, this silhouette is dressed in an upper with a two-tone black and white visual. The straight lines come to mix and create a real labyrinth. The pair's two feet echo each other like two sides of the same coin. In terms of details, this Nike Air Max 1 Tokyo Maze adopts a special "Nike Tokyo" tag on the tongue and multicolored laces. The whole rests on a red Air sole.
