On the occasion of the Nike "On Air" competition organized by the American brand, independent designers had the opportunity to reinvent emblematic models. One of the winners was able to present their own interpretation of Christian Tressler 's iconic design.
To make this Nike Air Max 97 , Gwang Shin was inspired by the city of Seoul. More specifically, neon signs that flood the city with light at night. This model has a black leather base, embellished with several colored waves. They take up the tones of the national flag. In terms of details, there are round two-tone laces, an oversized swoosh on the quarter panel, as well as the inscription “ Seoul ” affixed to the branding of the tongue and the insoles.
This Air Max 97 Neon Seoul recalls the edition created by Sean Wotherspoon , in more sober and vibrant colors.
