To celebrate 50 years of the Cortez , Nike is teaming up with Union in a colorway that takes inspiration from Los Angeles .
The Nike Cortez Union Sesame unveils a multicolored canvas base. Mainly light brown, this revisited silhouette is topped with suede leather inserts. The side Swoosh is presented in pink and matches the front part of the eyelets and the back tongue on which sits in turquoise the Frontman , Chris Gibbs ' brand logo. The turquoise deubré refers to the model's history with the inscriptions " Cortez 1972 ", the pair's original release date. Lower down, the midsole is made of Crater foam while the outsole contains at least 10% Nike Grind material.
Through this variation which represents the cultural diversity of LA, the Beaverton brand and the Californian shop offer themselves a rejuvenated version of a classic.
