Initially, the Nike Zoom Fly was designed during the preparation for the Breaking 2 challenge. The goal? Develop a shoe that would allow marathon runners to cover 42.2km in less than 2 hours.
Very quickly, this silhouette established itself as a reference sneaker in the streetwear universe. In 2017, there are already more than 10 different colors. Virgil Abloh even reworked this shoe during the Nike x Off-White collaboration released in November 2017.
It's a safe bet that the silhouette of the Nike Zoom Fly will be one of Nike's flagship models for the next few years.
